A tantalizing mixed bill featuring the Houston premiere of an intense duet from Jiri Kylian’s 27’52″ along with the U.S. premiere of Walsh’s Medea and a revival of his Terminus set to a score composed and performed live by Two Star Symphony and presented against a video/painting installation by Nicola Parente.

Winter Mixed Rep

Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, Zilkha Hall | 800 Bagby Street, Houston, Texas

Next on the menu is the U.S. premiere of Swedish choreographer Mats Ek’s Pas de Dans. Ek has been hailed as one of Europe’s most creative and influential dance-makers and DWDT is the first American company to obtain the right to perform his work. We pair this charming piece with the world premiere of Walsh’s Victor Frankenstein based on Mary Shelley’s classic novel and co-conceived by local writer Addie Tsai.

Spring Mixed Rep

This satisfying “all Walsh” mixed repertory program features his Time out of Line, an inventive new creation that merges dance with a unique sound design, visual art aspects, and video. The evening will also include his world premiere of a work set to Clair de Lune, along with reprises of favorites The Dying Swan and For the Two of You.
